Portraits and Landscapes

Is it easier to draw portraits on a vertical or on a horizontal canvas? Is it easier to draw landscapes on a vertical or on a horizontal canvas? This was an experiment where I tried out drawing different faces and landscapes on differently oriented canvases. It was quite a fun experience.
